Do not rinse berries under running water as the pressure can crush them. Dip them in a bowl of cold water and allow the berries to drain. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can refrigerate them 30 minutes prior to usage for a crisp taste. They are used for table purposes in salads and as toppings. You can also blend them into smoothies and milkshakes. Blueberry Pops: -> Cut fresh blueberries and add some sugar water and a bit of lemon juice to make these fruity frozen pops. This recipe is wonderful with a combination of berries such as strawberries and raspberries.
